GIANT PANDA ACTIVITIES

1. Paper Plate Panda

Grade Level: 1st-3rd

Materials:
  • 2 small paper plates
  • Black construction paper
  • Colored paper
  • Crayons
  • Scissors
  • Stapler
  • Glue  
Instructions:
  1. Staple or glue the two paper plates together so they overlap a little less than half way.
  2. Take black construction paper and cut out two ears, two front legs and two hind legs, a nose and two circles to show the black ‘mask’ behind the eyes.
  3. Glue the body parts to the appropriate areas.
  4. Out of a colored paper, cut out two eyes.
  5. Glue the eyes to on top of the black ‘mask’ cutouts.
  6. Draw eyeballs in the middle of the colored eyes with crayons.
  7. Draw a mouth with crayons.

Materials:
  • Construction paper or grocery bag
  • Scissors
  • String
  • Glue
  • Popsicle stick
Instructions:
  1. Get an adult to help, if needed
  2. Download and print the mask PDF
  3. Glue panda mask to construction paper or a paper grocery bag.
  4. Cut along dotted lines.
  5. Tape a popsicle stick or paint stick behind mask for a handheld mask or make small holes on each side of mask to attach string to tie around head
